I am from the Netherlands. For quite some years already I have had the desire to combine my profession as a doctor with mission. I have done some short term mission trips in Africa in the last couple of years. In 2015 God brought me to back to Zambia in an unexpectant and surprising way.
Here I felt God was challenging me to step out of my comfort zone and to fully surrender to Him and to step into the mission field full-term. After making a hearts decision to say yes to God.. I asked Him to show me where, when, how etc. ‘
God later shared His heart with me for the Tonga people in the Gwembe valley:
“I have not given up hope for these people.”
He is love and gives forgiveness, restoration and hope.
My desire is to combine my profession as a doctor with mission. To share the Gospel in word and action! To see people come to know God and to see them grow in their relationship and walk with Him. To see God changing lives. Real change comes from the inside and will bring visible outward change in personal lives, families and communities!
